How it started

The idea behind our company started during an entrepreneurship course, where we came together as a group of five graduating students with the goal of developing a business. As we explored different opportunities, we decided to focus on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) as a service.

During our research and early conversations with companies, we noticed a clear pattern: many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) either did not fully understand what an LCA is, or they were postponing it because they perceived it as complex, time-consuming, and expensive.

At the same time, we recognized that upcoming regulations, such as the Digital Product Passport (DPP), will require companies to better understand and report their environmental impact. This highlighted a growing gap between what companies are expected to do and what they are currently able to do.

As graduating engineering and marketing students, we saw an opportunity to bridge this gap by offering a simpler and more accessible approach to LCA. Our goal is to make the process clear, practical, and more affordable, helping companies take their first steps towards sustainability without the barriers of complexity or high cost.

We believe sustainability should be accessible, not complex. Many SMEs are expected to act on sustainability, but lack the time, knowledge, or resources to deal with complicated tools and processes.

We also believe that LCA should not be limited to experts or large companies. By simplifying the process and focusing on clear and practical insights, we aim to help businesses understand their impact, make better decisions, and prepare for upcoming regulations in a realistic and achievable way.

We understand that trust is important, especially when working with something as technical as Life Cycle Assessment. Our approach is based on strong engineering knowledge and supported by extensive validation through interviews with real manufacturing companies. These insights allow us to clearly understand the challenges SMEs face when dealing with LCA and sustainability requirements.

Our work follows recognized LCA methodologies and aligns with international standards such as ISO 14040 and 14044. While we are at the beginning of our professional journey, our team combines academic knowledge with practical experience, including previous work on real LCA projects. Our focus is to deliver structured, reliable, and practical results that companies can actually use.
